Party in Baltimore. Forty thousand fans came from near and far to see Arsenal take on Everton at M&T Bank Stadium. Sure, it was only a preseason friendly, but the two Premier League sides didn’t disappoint. It was Gabriel Jesus’ first start for the Gunners and he delivered with a clinical finish midway through the first half. Arteta described him as a “perfect fit” for the squad, and Jesus is already proving him right. In just two friendlies with the club, he’s already bagged three. Matt Turner returned to the states, and celebrated with a signature clean sheet. Bukayo Saka added a second goal against the Toffees for good measure, and the score didn’t move for the rest of the match. These friendlies are seldom an indication of what will happen in the upcoming season, but they sure are fun. No sad faces in the stands last night, as hosting legendary European sides on our soil is always a privilege. Summer soccer is well underway. 📸: @crvnka @hugomenguy #arsenal #arsenalfc #gunners ...
