No Leinster club had ever won both the Leinster Senior Double of football and hurling - until Cuala and Na Fianna both did it in the space of a few hours on Saturday night. Na Fianna had to wait 25 years to do it after they won the football title in Aughrim in 1999. They lost the next two but the hurlers turned that around this year - they lost the 2023 final but came back to win in 2024. Cuala meanwhile have done it in less than a decade - winning two Leinster hurling titles in 2016 and 2017 (adding two All Ireland club titles too) before winning the Leinster football title at the first time of asking in 2024. #gaa #gaelicfootball #hurling #allireland #gaelicgames
