In early October, we set out on the Grinnell Glacier Trail in Glacier National Park, and it was nothing short of magical. The crisp autumn air, golden light, and near-solitude on the trail made the journey unforgettable.
The hike itself is a showcase of nature’s best work – emerald lakes shimmering below, dramatic cliffs stretching into the sky, and sweeping views at every turn. Reaching the glacier, surrounded by towering peaks and icy waters, felt like stepping into a scene untouched by time. We sat there for a while, the silence only broken by the wind, taking in the reward of the climb.
If you ever find yourself in Glacier National Park, this trail has to be on your list. October gave us cooler weather, quieter trails, and moments that felt entirely our own.
