Ten years ago today, D’Angelo released his long-awaited third album, ‘Black Messiah.” After the success of 2000’s ‘Voodoo,’ fans were more than ready for a follow up. Although it would ultimately be more than a decade until we heard a new album from D’Angelo, the results definitely felt worth it. On December 15, 2014, D’Angelo released ‘Black Messiah’ to critical acclaim. In the album liner, D’Angelo explained the chosen title. Saying that, “Black Messiah is not one man.
