The annual light spectacle at Portland’s Peacock Lane kicks off at 6 p.m. Sunday. Early visitors can snag free hot cocoa or cider, while supplies last. The Christmas light display, running since 1932, draws thousands of visitors every December to the Lane’s four residential blocks in Southeast Portland between Stark and Belmont streets. The light display runs daily from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. until Dec. 31. Peacock Lane will be closed to car traffic on Sunday, Dec. 15 and Monday, Dec. 16.
