DEKA MILE Elite - 20:48 - 11th Overall I worked throughout the year to earn an elite qualification for the DEKA MILE. Hitting three PR's to make it happen. I also knew that making the decision to accept the elite qualification would come with an extremely challenging race physically & mentally. I wanted that opportunity. I came in as the 11th seed and finished in 11th. We broke even. I threw myself into the ring & got consumed by the sharks. Many takeaways from this one. I am dissatisfied with my execution; this race will sit with me for a while. I am glad I took this opportunity to learn and grow. I am walking away with my head up. 4.
