What a time to be alive. Seeing Haaland in “the House that Jeter Built” was not on anyone’s bingo card. But with the sun coming down on Yankee Stadium, a packed building, and a goal fest on the pitch, it all seemed to click. Wide-eyed kids begged for autographs, adults took in beers and hotdogs, and we all got the show we came to see. We even got a jersey change from both teams at halftime. With Copa America in the rear-view mirror, a second wave of stars now lands on our shores.
