A decades-old goal fulfilled 🥹 After graduating from Lincoln High in 1939, Marion (Patton) Larmon attended the University of Nebraska where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. Due to the Great Depression and World War II, she was not able to complete her education. She went on to work as a stenographer for the FBI, earned her commercial pilot license and dedicated herself to music and community service.
Today, she received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree and though she has always been a Husker, she *officially* became a Nebraska graduate.
