For 27 years, Deanna Dikeman photographed her parents waving good-bye as she drove away from their home in Sioux City, lowa. What began in 1991 as a spontaneous snapshot grew into a larger project, Relative Moments, documenting her family’s lives. The series traces the passage of time, from her father’s absence after his passing in 2009 to her mother’s final farewell in 2017.
