The athletic program is celebrating the opening of a brand-new weight room, featuring equipment that once belonged to the University of Alabama’s athletic program. The facility upgrade was made possible through a community-driven fundraising effort that raised $31,000 this year, bringing the total to $39,000. “I think it’s also pretty cool that 73 different donors contributed toward the $31,000 we just raised this fall,” said McCallum Booster Club representative Amanda Hopper. “For more than three years, Coach Gammerdinger has been working to raise funds for the athletic program weight room upgrade.
