Step back in time and meet one of Earth’s oldest residents: the Horseshoe Crab! These incredible creatures have been around for nearly 445 million years, barely changing since the dawn of the age of dinosaurs. It takes them about nine years to reach adulthood, so you might be surprised by just how long they stay so small! Witness living history firsthand by visiting our baby Horseshoe Crabs in our Origins exhibit, or gently pet the adults in our Water’s Edge touch tank.
