Pikes Peak Online School/Colorado Preparatory Academy members joined forces with a local community service group, Richard's Rubbish RoundUp. Members gathered and removed trash from a local park and creek area. This chapter plans to continue to work with this nonprofit going forward, to continue clean-ups and distribute necessities to those in need that they encounter along the way. Members were happy to see how many unhomed people in the area were thankful for their assistance in keeping the area cleaned up. They did, however, face the challenge of encountering and safely removing dangerous objects. With the guidance of the experienced team with them, though, they were able to safely handle all obstacles.
