As we gear up this week for Christmas and Hanukkah, let us not forget the Dec. 23th holiday: Festivus.
Think of Festivus as your invitation to be a little bit grumpy during the holiday season.
The made-up holiday was first introduced to Americans in a 1997 episode of the sitcom “Seinfeld,” in which we learn that George Costanza’s father celebrates Festivus as an alternative to traditional December celebrations that he deems too religious or commercial.
