Two hours into Potluck in the Park’s 30th free Christmas Day meal, at least 800 people had been served buffet-style in the museum’s ballroom in downtown Portland, while more waited to get in. “It’s beautiful,” said Chris Giordani, 47, his cheeks still red from the cold as he sat down with a plate full of turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes and string beans.
