A passenger on the Azerbaijan Airlines flight that crashed in Kazakhstan on Wednesday said he heard at least one loud bang as the plane approached Grozny in southern Russia. ‘After the bang...I thought the plane was going to fall apart,’ Subhonkul Rakhimov, one of the passengers, told Reuters from hospital. At least 38 people were killed in the crash while 29 survived.
