When a product earns the ADA seal of acceptance, it means that it contains an attribute that is scientifically proven to maintain or improve oral health. Products go through a very rigorous review process to receive the Seal of Approval. The American Dental Association says, “A product submission must include data from clinical and/or laboratory studies that demonstrate safety and efficacy according to product category requirements developed by the ADA Council on Scientific Affairs.
