“Every blanket matters,” the student leaders of Charlotte Latin’s Baby Bundles Club emphasized to parents and administrators, who gathered for Parents’ Council’s holiday luncheon and service project in December. Before demonstrating how to cut and tie the soft fleece fabric to make baby blankets, Andrew, Eleanor, Allie, and Kate shared about their club’s work to benefit community partner babybundlesnc, a local nonprofit that serves underprivileged mothers in the Charlotte area. 🤱💙 In addition to their on-campus meetings and blanket making, students in clsbabybundles have also journeyed to the warehouse where they have helped to sort, count, and fold the bundles. Each bundle contains 40 items (valued at $350) — like baby clothes, socks, hats, burp cloths, children’s books, developmental toys, and the handmade blankets — to give a new mother the essentials she needs when she brings her baby home from the hospital. #latinleader #community
