Around this time, I would clock in a post about my career wins for the year and most noteworthy interviews. While I did have a great year again on that front, my proudest milestone is my weight loss. It was around this time last year when I started noticing my weight gain and desperately wanted to do something about it.
In the middle of January, I purchased a new scale, began binging on weight loss and resistance training videos on YouTube, and developed a stronger sense of discipline. I stopped drinking, started tracking my calories and meals, and fasted. I went to the gym four days a week with a built-out plan rather than just doing what I felt was right. I lacked structure and accountability on that front. I owned that and knew changes needed to happen if I wanted more front-facing opportunities. Ironically, that ended up being the case, as I got back on the red carpet this year, did way more TV interviews, and was even on CBS Mornings in the spring.
