Although I attended Bloomington South, I once attended Bloomington North for three days before transferring to South a year later, which made it hard for me to comment on this 100%. I do remember Mrs. Stackhouse at Tri-North Middle School when she observed us singing choir, and gave me an idea of what she wanted out of her music program when she said, "Stop dancing and focus on everyone else in the band, and not just yourself." As I have grown up it has hit more close to home since. Mrs. Stackhouse had an incredible ability to motivate her students while maintaining high standards in her bands. She didn’t just teach music; she instilled a sense of discipline and dedication that extended beyond the classroom. Her passion for music was contagious, and you could see it in her rehearsals.
