Tony-winning Broadway star and sitcom actress Linda Lavin passed away on Sunday, December 29, at 87 from complications of recently diagnosed lung cancer, Deadline reports. The news comes as a surprise, as Lavin was active earlier this month, attending the No Good Deed premiere in Hollywood on December 4. Best known for her role in the sitcom Alice (1976), Lavin earned an Emmy nomination during the show’s nine-season run. She later won a Tony for Broadway Bound in 1986, one of six Tony nominations in her storied career. This year, Lavin remained prolific, guest-starring on CBS's Elsbeth, appearing in Netflix's No Good Deed, and working on Hulu’s upcoming Mid-Century Modern. #news #showbiz #lindalavin #nogooddeed #broadway
