R.J. Davis scored 23 points and became UNC's all-time leader in made three-pointers on Sunday night as the Tar Heels rolled over Campbell 97-81 at the Smith Center.
Davis' second made three of the night was the 300th of his decorated career, nosing him past former record-holder Marcus Paige's 299.
"I grew up watching Marcus," Davis said. "So for me to pass him and him hand me the torch, it's a real moment... I really do appreciate him for the past two years of mentoring me and being in my corner."
Davis finished the game with five made threes, a season high in a single game for the All-American. Freshman guard Ian Jackson, starting in place of Seth Trimble โ who missed the game due to an upper-body injury โ led the Tar Heels with 26. Jackson is the 10th UNC freshman ever to score at least 24 points in consecutive games, joining a list which includes Cole Anthony, Coby White, Harrison Barnes and Tyler Hansbroug...
