Pip’s Original, the Portland-based purveyor of mini doughnuts and chai, has closed its Beaverton location, the business announced on Sunday. In a social media post, owners Nate and Jamie Snell wrote that in the face of economic conditions that “radically deteriorated over the last couple of years,” the duo sought ways to lower the rent and overhead on the Beaverton cafe.
