The Athlete Spotlight of the Week, sponsored by Tatnall Black & Gold, is Simon Cox. Through the first seven games of the 2023 season, the junior has led the Hornet attack with 13 goals and eight assists. With two goals away at St. Andrew's, off assists from classmate Fletcher Jones, the Hornets claimed their first victory over their conference rival since 2014 with a final score of 3-0. Following the shutout performance, the Black and Gold returned home for back to back games against Red Lion and Wilmington Christian. The Hornets prevailed in both by scores of 12-0 and 10-0, respectively. Cox was able to fire in six goals and dish out three assists in the contests.
