The most magical day 🐘 with bukitelephantpark I wanted to find the most ethical Elephant Sanctuary in Phuket Thailand, and I’m so glad I did my research! You’ll see so many tourists go to Thailand and do the mud bath with elephants and then rinse them off with fresh water. This is a tourist TRAP! We learned that elephants LOVE splashing in water, kicking their legs and swaying their trunks. When people are in the water with them, it makes the elephants super nervous and scared to move. Instead, at Bukit, we got to watch them in their natural habitat and stay far enough away that the elephants weren’t stressed out. These elephants were saved from riding camps and many of them didn’t like human interaction.
