“On the twelfth day of Chuck Wagon, Cookie gave to me...
twelve driving miles,
eleven tidy bedrolls,
ten working cowboys,
nine po-ta-toessssss,
eight hard biscuits, seven beef dinners,
six bellowing cows,
five bowls of beansssssss...
four rolling wheels,
three airtight cans,
two hot meals,
and a strong cup of cowboy coffee.”
Cowboys typically moved a herd of cattle anywhere from 10-12 miles a day comfortably. Cookie also had to cover the same distance, but with a wagon.
Cookie will always be a hero in our eyes!
We hope you’ve enjoyed the “12 Days of Chuck Wagon” and will come to the
