Individual Event 3 is Amanda .45, presented by @yeti
The @CrossFit benchmark workout Amanda is named in honor of Amanda Miller, a 2009 CrossFit Games athlete who died from melanoma in 2010. Introduced as the opening event at the 2010 CrossFit Games, Amanda holds a significant place in CrossFit history as one of the workouts dedicated to a fallen member of the community.
The original workout is:
9-7-5 reps for time of:
Muscle-ups
Squat snatches (95/135 lb)
More than just a test of physical prowess, the workout serves as a tribute to Miller’s strength, determination, and spirit.
At the 2017 CrossFit Games, Amanda .45 was introduced:
13-11-9-7-5 reps for time of:
Muscle-ups
Squat snatches (95/135 lb)
This year, athletes will complete Amanda .45 once again at @DickiesArena in Fort Worth, Texas.
