@roman_khrennikov gave us one of the most powerful moments in CrossFit Games history.
Khrennikov, who trains out of Cookeville, Tennessee, led the 2023
@CrossFitGames for two-thirds of the competition before sustaining a left-foot injury on the final day of competition. Instead of withdrawing, Roman decided to try and finish to set an example for his son.
In an unforgettable moment, he taught all who watched a lesson in courage.
“I want to set be a hero for my son and have him see me fight to the end,” said Roman after Test 10 of 12.
Khrennikov finished third overall and was awarded one of the highest honors among the
