It’s been since two years since the mccallumboyssoccer program held its traditional alumni game. The elapsed time since the last one became clear during the pre-game huddle when head coach Nick Martin became more of a campus reporter than a coach. He gave the alums in attendance today a three-part update. First, he told them about the plans for a new turf field that is to be installed (starting in April) underneath the feet where the alumni stood as Martin spoke. Second, he told them about the new science building that will stand on the space of the practice field behind the current science wing, which is to be torn down. Third, he explained the new branding of the boys and girls soccer teams under one unified logo designed by the same design firm, withbutler, led by a Mac parent, that designed the AustinFC logo.
