Here’s a heartwarming story for your hump day. 🐕⁣ ⁣ Groot the dog was rescued by the guardians of the road, Greensborough Highway Patrol, after a recent misadventure across the Whittlesea galaxy.⁣ ⁣ Groot went missing on New Year's Eve from his Bundoora address and his heartbroken owners had just about given up on finding him.⁣ ⁣ Seven days later, Groot was seen on the Metropolitan Ring Road by Greensborough Highway Patrol, running east-bound in west-bound lanes. AKA running head-on into oncoming traffic.⁣ ⁣ A passerby on her way home from the gym stopped her vehicle and attempted to lure Groot off the road, sacrificing her hard earned popcorn chicken in the process.⁣ ⁣ The Greensborough Highway Patrol solo unit, with the assistance of the passerby, were able to safely rescue Groot a short time later, utilising a ratchet strap as a lead from a VicRoads Incident Response vehicle that also stopped and assisted.⁣ ⁣ Groot became an honorary member of Highway Patrol, seen here enjoyi...
