Next up on our senior spot light is Jake “Chef” “Sirk” Sirkis. Sirk joined the Texas A&M Hockey program in the fall of 2019 and immediately stepped in as a challenger for starting goaltender as a freshman. The friendly competition served to be beneficial for the team as Jake helped the team to their first ever TCHC Conference Championship. Following the “Covid” season, Jake would assume the role of full time starter playing in 61 games over the course of the next 3 seasons, leading the team to a second consecutive conference championship in 2022 and earning the title of team MVP in 2022-2023. 2022-2023 saw Jake lie in the top 10 of the entirety of the ACHA in save percentage as he boasted an impressive 13-4 record for the season.
