Nike has repeatedly said it has no tolerance for discrimination, publicly downplayed any culture problems and defended itself vigorously in lawsuits about workplace mistreatment. It’s also changed human resources and compensation policies since 2018.
But some current and former employees remain profoundly disappointed.
Those who spoke with The Oregonian/OregonLive for this series declined to be named, out of fear of professional repercussions.
One former Nike executive involved in the survey effort went so far as to describe the company’s response to it as little more than “checking a box.”
“It makes me so mad,” she said. “There was no follow up.”
