The activity was dangerous — and one we don’t condone. However, the fire truck driver’s lack of hesitation shows a behavior adapted to the surrounding environment. What are those environmental conditions? Prolonged blockages from trains stopping across miles of grade crossings for hours, sometimes a whole day, at a time.
