Texas Science & Natural History Museum on the UT campus reopened just over a year ago. The museum welcomed a record number of visitors in that year, including:
• 75,000 museum-goers, hailing from all 50 states and 28 countries
• 9,000 additional attendees at private events
• 300 school and community groups on tours
The museum’s newest temporary exhibit features a scale model replica, donated by
@SimonsFoundation, that highlights the McDonald Observatory’s 80-ton Hobby-Eberly Telescope, the largest optical telescope in North America. Another recent exhibit is “Particles of Color,” which explores the science of sustainable fashion and was recently featured by
