HERE is one of six short films awarded the Wavelength x @blacktvfilmcollective #BlackProducersFellowship grant, produced and written by '21 Black Producers Fellow @betheltdixon. James is immersed in bringing both the nostalgia and conflict of a middle school classroom circa 1995 to life as a first generation Ethiopian American student encounters cultural bias at the hands of school administration.
