It was probably not until about seventh grade that Claudel Chery and Ryan Tuohy, now juniors at North Rockland High, became close friends. Years earlier, Chery knew Tuohy simply as their elementary school's very fast runner. And Tuohy recalls an early friendship launching when both were in third or fourth grade and playing on the same travel soccer team. 🔗 : The Journal News/lohud talked with Chery and Tuohy about their high school cross-country and track careers, what each brings to the table and how they remain best friends, rooting for the other's success, while competing against one another each week.
