“I HATE DELOAD WEEK” 😡
That used to be my mindset also. Until, I figured out how much better my body felt AFTER a deload week. Now instead of dreading them, I look forward to them.
Deload week gives my body a chance to rest and recover. They are necessary to build strength, and often I feel even stronger the week after a deload week.
I love lifting heavy, don’t get me wrong. It can be boring during a light week, but try to remember that it will be all worth it the first week of your next block.
I guess maturing in the gym, is letting your body rest when it needs it. And realizing you won’t lose all your gains from one week of lifting lighter, and resetting. 🤍
