CHS Robotics hosts a competition featuring 29 teams on Saturday when it welcomes schools from throughout Western New York and beyond for the Canisius 2025 VEX V5 High Stakes Qualifying Tournament. About 30 teams from Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Allegany and Madison counties will be competing to earn a spot in the state competition in March. The Crusaders have been working on their machines all year and were busy tweaking and analyzing them this week in preparation for the strategic contests, in which four robotics take to the arena at the same time, vying to earn the most points via various challenges. All are welcome to attend the event, which will be held in the unique setting of historic Scaccia Auditorium.
