Emma Halsey ’23 fell in love with radio during her time studying at Shippensburg University. “Originally, I went on the Public Relations route. Once I started taking classes and really getting into it, I found a love of Radio and Broadcast Production. By my junior year of college, I had switched my concentration to Visual Media.” Being the General Manager of WSYC-88.7 FM, the on-campus radio station, she learned how to work under pressure, work with colleagues and hit deadlines.
After receiving her degree in Communications/Journalism and Media with an emphasis in Visual media, Halsey started working at WITF, in Harrisburg, PA as a Part-Time host, eventually being promoted to Full-Time as an Audio Producer, Engineer, Radio Host and event staff.
