when I found this vocal sample it really resonated with me.. I think when you’re making something it’s easy to get caught up in the results or comparing with other people etc.. but I love the idea that only you can decide where ‘success’ is for yourself. It’s not some external, definitive and predetermined thing and it’s something everyone has to decide individually. Learning to play instruments really helped me realize this - there is always more to learn and there is no ‘finish line’ or ‘making it’ ..it’s just an endlessly fulfilling and beautifully meandering journey.
