Tape Job Tuesday: Achilles Tape Job
This tape job aids the Achilles through range of motion into plantar flexion, a.k.a. a pointed toe position. This tape job helps create a springlike mechanism to bring the toe into plantar flexion, helping the foot through range of motion with walking, running, and sprinting. This helps bring the Achilles through the movement so that it does not have to work as hard when strained or in an injured state.
🚨 This tape job is not be the answer to a severe Achilles injury. 🚨Please seek an athletic trainer or physical therapist’s opinion and learn how to create a rehabilitation plan and at what point a trip to your doctor is necessary.
