A UC Davis professor sued the UC Regents, claiming they imposed a letter of censure without proper justification, according to a lawsuit filed in the Alameda County Superior Court on Dec. 20.
The lawsuit alleged that there was a lack of probable cause and that the concern in the censure letter was beyond the three-year disciplinary time limit.
In January 2021, the professor complained to a department chair and the department’s chief administrative officer about “continuing accounting problems caused by administrative staff,” according to the lawsuit’s text.
