I wanted to revisit this project I shot for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in 2021, to give it the attention it deserved. Park Scientists were determining the habitably of Freshwater Mussels in the Cuyahoga River by conducting a survey by transplanting Mussels from the near by Grand River in Painesville, Ohio and move them to the Cuyahoga. The importance of mussels is something that freshwater bodies of water in North America know all well, their important role of cleaning algae and bacteria from water is a crucial component in a healthy freshwater ecosystem.
