Our first #thetathursday of the year highlights our sister paigedwyerr and her trip with medlifeuconn 🩺 “My experience traveling to Peru with medlifeuconn was an eye-opening one. Surfing off the coast of Lima, sandboarding the desert in Ica, and boating off Paracas to see all kinds of marine life was unforgettable, but what impacted me the most was getting to interact with the doctors and families in Lima. MEDLIFE’s mission(Medical Education Development for Low Income Families Everywhere) is to provide accessible and affordable healthcare to communities that struggle with readily available access. I was able to volunteer in these cost-free clinics for 3 days shadowing and assisting in rotations such as Dental, OB-GYN, Pharmacy, Hygiene, Optometry, Education, and General Medicine.
