Proverbs 10:28 28 The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing. God has a glorious future hope for those (the righteous) who have put their trust in Jesus, our joy is in our destiny of eternal life. This is not by our own doing but by Jesus accrediting his righteousness to us through his death and resurrection. We should overflow with joy so much so that those who do not know Jesus ask us about our hope and we can invite them to know God’s forgiveness and restoration and the future hope of heaven. Our joy is in where we are going - those who don’t know Jesus will find their hopes unfulfilled.
