Breaking news📢🚨 Earlier today, the NCAA announced that women’s wrestling has officially become the 91st NCAA championship sport. Previously part of the Emerging Sports for Women program, the change will allow for a national collegiate championship to take place, which will help further grow the sport. There were 76 women’s wrestling programs at NCAA schools in 2023-24, with a projected 17 to be added in 2024-25. The first women’s wrestling championship will be in 2026.
