On Tuesday, 4 of our players visited Westmoreland Upper Elementary to get the kids excited for the 2024 IIHF Women’s World Championship here in Utica, NY!! Captain Erica Sloan, Assistant Captain Madison Novotny, and 5th Year Forwards Carolyn Whitney and Erica Sheaffer all chatted to the students about all things hockey. From defining what icing is to signing as many pamphlets as possible, our players loved meeting the kids and making memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to Westmoreland Upper Elementary for having us and for providing our Pioneers the platform to not only represent our program, but to also proudly represent Women’s Hockey players as a whole!!
