In the second annual Taco Shack Shields Collide matchup between McCallum and Anderson, the Knights secured a New Years' Eve victory 54-38 to close out 2024. Last year, McCallum beat Anderson 51-37 in the inaugural game, which was their first win against Anderson since Nov. 13, 2007. Senior George McCoy contributed 22 points to the Knights' 54, with senior George Brode and junior Ethan Plummer adding eight points each. Following their win over Anderson and keeping the Taco Shack trophy at home, the Knights defeated Cedar Creek 67-41 on Jan. 3 to improve to 3-0 in district.
