Induction motors are the most common drivers of pumps. In this video, we explore how a three-phase asynchronous induction motor converts electrical power into mechanical power in the form of torque and rotational speed of the shaft, which couples to and drives the pump.
If you've enjoyed this video, consider registering for our on-demand Introduction to Pump Fundamentals training. This collection of six training modules is designed to provide attendees the introductory knowledge on all aspects of the pump, system and components (including drivers). Any person who is interested in or sees themselves as a future employee in the pump or fluid handling industry will benefit from this training.
