The sun has set on another Catfish summer. It didn’t end quite the way we had planned last night in Thrillville but boy did this season leave us with some memories to cherish.
The team ended on a 12-1 run to get into the playoffs and hopes were high as we tried to avenge last years loss to the Thrillbillies. Tip your caps to the boys from Marion as once again they move on and we go home.
To all 40+ players who came through the program this summer, thank you. Through all the ups and downs, heat and rain, aches and pains, long bus rides and long days, you handled all of it with grace. You were so good to our young fans as you talked to them during games, hung around after games and signed every autograph.
The hardest thing is not losing a playoff game it’s losing you guys now that’s the season is over. You’ve touched this cities heart in ways you’ll never know. You made baseball fans out of so many kids. You’ve made the young and old love this game! We love you and wish you...
