Next up in our 2024 Recap series is our clean water access program: Water Is Our Right!
Last year we closed the year with 11 new deep-water wells, impacting over 4,000 people in rural areas with improved health, more livelihood opportunities, and a newfound sense of harmony within communities and families.
We also completed our first well rehabilitation project, fixing an old, non-functioning well to bring clean water back to the community. We plan to expand our focus on this in 2025.
Most excitingly, several of our wells supported adjacent schools, improving the health and quality of education for the students and teachers there.
Clean water is truly the base of the sustainable development pyramid, creating opportunities for students to excel in school, for parents to earn more income, for more productive agriculture cultivation, all leading to long-term economic growth in communities!
